And, yes, Kathy, our mom's weren't perfect people and all these gooey, sentimental portrayals don't do the mom's or their children any service. All Mom's make mistakes, whether it's overindulgence or overly tough at times. We all have to learn to forgive AND be grateful to our moms.Linda Gartzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00740477693031139484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3853410677893201016.post-75087290276863534572012-05-13T12:47:47.931-05:002012-05-13T12:47:47.931-05:00It's Mother's Day and it's refreshing ...It's Mother's Day and it's refreshing to read this post. On a day when we tend to celebrate our mothers by focusing on the positive, it's nice to recognize that all of us have several sides to our personalities.Kathy Reedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09417754385375586302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3853410677893201016.post-68096622687841904292012-05-10T09:53:49.165-05:002012-05-10T09:53:49.165-05:00Oh yeah, those baby pictures ....a story worth 1,0...Oh yeah, those baby pictures ....a story worth 1,000 words, even though you're probably approaching the 200,000 mark.<br />When my mom looks at my daughter, she says to me: I saw that face 50 years ago.peggyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04895025997871963451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3853410677893201016.post-87975424036057573012012-05-08T10:33:17.380-05:002012-05-08T10:33:17.380-05:00Susan,

Then, like the clouds parting, they forgot their anger and turned into the sweetest, most adorable creatures. Thank God, or we might have abandoned them! I'm sure it's evolutionarily programmed to keep us protecting and cherishing them.Linda Gartzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00740477693031139484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3853410677893201016.post-81049417833408250232012-05-08T10:30:49.217-05:002012-05-08T10:30:49.217-05:00Hey Marian and Pat,

The baby in photo one came through loud and clear in all those diary entries starting in October, 2011, with "Falling in Love 70 years ago," and throughout her youth. What a combo!Linda Gartzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00740477693031139484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3853410677893201016.post-12905103373725722062012-05-08T10:29:51.755-05:002012-05-08T10:29:51.755-05:00These are great.
